Heat Treatment Process
Hardening: Heat the steel evenly to 1040~1080°C until the whole section reaches temperature. Then quench in oil to cool.
Annealing: Heat the steel to 840~870°C, hold it well at temperature, and then let it cool slowly inside the furnace.
Tempering: Low-temperature tempering at 150–250°C for 2–3 cycles, hardness up to 58–62 HRC.
Application Fields
Common applications: ball bearings and races, moulds, cutlery, valve components, knives, measuring instruments and other products requiring maximum hardness and wear resistance.
